Fiberex® F2.5 is an enzymatic solution used to maximize in-process corn kernel fiber conversion. This drop-in solution reduces the barrier of entry to low carbon fuel markets by enabling producers to generate cellulosic ethanol without the need for CAPEX intensive projects.

Added to fermentation in existing first-generation ethanol plants, Fiberex® F2.5 breaks down fiber found in the corn kernel to significantly enhance performance benefits. In breaking down the tough fiber matrix, this enzyme blend increases fiber conversion for cellulosic ethanol produced in an SSF process.

Fiberex® F2.5 is an enzymatic solution used to maximize in-process corn kernel fiber conversion. This drop-in solution reduces the barrier of entry to Low Carbon Fuel Markets by enabling producers to generate cellulosic ethanol without the need for CAPEX intensive projects. Added to fermentation in existing first-generation ethanol plants, Fiberex® F2.5 increases fiber conversion for cellulosic ethanol produced in-process, by utilizing enzyme activities that target the roughly 60% of fiber that is hemicellulose.  This blend is uniquely able to break down important layers of the fiber that enhance cellulase conversion and result in more fiber conversion while releasing more corn oil and residual starch.
