Suitable for bolt-on processes
This product is designed to enable fiber conversion in separate fiber-to-ethanol processes.
Boosts corn oil yield
This product frees corn oil trapped in the fiber matrix. That means you can expand a major revenue stream by extracting more corn oil.
Boosts fiber-based ethanol yields
This product generates sugars from the fiber matrix, making them available to the yeast. That means you can convert a low-value animal feed into high-value ethanol. In many markets, this low-carbon ethanol has a reduced carbon score, so it can bring even more value to your plant.
Maximizes starch-based ethanol yields
This product helps you squeeze every last drop of ethanol from your starch-based feedstocks. It breaks down tough fibers to make residual starch available for conversion. That maximizes your starch-based ethanol yields.
Reach Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) and/or Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS)
With this product, your fiber-based ethanol can reach certain low-carbon standards, which increases the value of your output.
Product application
This product utilizes a second enzyme for maximal performance.
Lowest Carbon Intensity of enzyme blend
Delivered enzyme is a component of carbon intensity scoring. Reducing the addition of cellulase to the smallest volume will reduce a plants CI score, possibly by 1-2 points.
Fiberex® R1 for bolt-on solutions delivers significantly more high-value, low-carbon ethanol and more corn oil. That’s because bolt-on solutions allow for a pre-treatment step that combines with the enzymes to break down even more tough fibers in the corn.
The fiber matrix is mostly made up of cellulose and hemicellulose strands, coated with protein. This protein-fiber network traps residual starch. It also binds water and oil. The enzymes in the Fiberex® R1 blend target and break down multiple fractions within the tough fibers. That frees residual starch and trapped oil to boost your fiber ethanol and corn oil yields.
This product contains enzymes. While enzymes are safe to use in consumer applications, they need correct handling in working environments to ensure workers’ safety.
Indeed, repeated inhalation of enzyme dust or aerosols resulting from improper handling may induce sensitization and may cause allergic type 1 reactions in sensitized individuals.
Please follow the precautionary handling recommendations below:
- Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray
- Avoid contact with eyes, skin, or clothing
- In case of inadequate ventilation wear respiratory protection
- IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing
- If experiencing respiratory symptoms: Call a POISON CENTER or a doctor
- Store in a dry place. Store in a closed container
- Dispose of contents/containers in accordance with local regulations
