Description Details

With BioRemove™ COD you can achieve simpler operations, lower costs and improved efficiency. Its blend of microorganisms delivers the broadest biological activity in the wastewater industry. This broad activity means it can target organics from a wide range of industries, making it highly effective on complex waste streams.  The result is that your plant stays in compliance, with fewer permit violations and lower surcharges.  

Improves floc formation and settleability

This product improves floc formation. The result is improved settleability and enhanced flocculation, resulting in decreased polymer demand. 

Effective in anoxic and anaerobic environments

Not all systems reduce COD aerobically. This product contains a blend of microorganisms suited to anoxic and anerobic environments. That means it can continue to remove COD even in the absence of oxygen.

Effectively degrades hard COD

High levels of recalcitrant organics can be difficult to remove  and increase COD. That leads to a range of problems for your plant. This product effectively degrades hard COD improving your plant's effluent quality.

Removes surfactants

Surfactant-related upsets impact your plant's stability. This product helps protect your system from this instability and simplify operations. It can also help you reduce permit violations and surcharges for surfactants. 

Controls  fats, oils and grease levels

Buildup of fats, oils, and grease (FOG) can be the root cause of many issues in your plant. FOG can foul sensors, cause foaming, and encourage the growth of filamentous organisms. It can also cause permit violations and impact dewatering. This product helps to control FOG levels to reduce your costs and simplify your operations.

Prevents filamentous foaming

While filamentous bacteria play an important role in floc formation, excess filaments can lead to foaming. This in turn causes problems with sludge settling in your plant. This product helps prevent foam caused by filaments.

Removes hydrocarbon and phenol

Hydrocarbons and phenols cause biomass and effluent toxicity. They can also lead to settling problems and lower activity.  This product degrades hydrocarbons. It also degrades the phenols commonly found in refining and petrochemical wastewater.  That helps your plant avoid permit violations and achieve higher quality effluent.
