Reduce desludging costs and improve wastewater pond capacity
Reduce desludging costs and improve wastewater pond capacity
High sludge levels are a source of concern for many municipal and industrial wastewater pond operations. The high sludge levels affect the treatment capacity, and desludging is a costly operation.
BioSpikes® 5000 offer a new way to reduce handling costs, minimize the volume of settled sludge as well as increasing the nutrient concentration in the treated wastewater pond sludge.
How it works?
How it works?
BioSpikes® 5000 are formed as dense spikes that rapidly sink to the bottom of a pond, even when applied at the water's surface. When the spikes reach the sludge layer, they release billions of microorganisms, fast-acting enzymes, and essential micronutrients directly into sludge.
This combination ensures the rapid stimulation of biological activity and therefore, compaction of the sludge. This compaction reduces the sludge level in the pond, reduces the frequency of desludging, increases the concentration of key inorganic nutrients in the sludge (such as N and P) while increasing the hydraulic retention time of the pond which leads to improved treatment performance.

The better alternative to desludging ponds
The better alternative to desludging ponds
BioSpikes® 5000 offer a new way to minimize settled sludge volume and reduce solids handling costs in wastewater ponds. The combination of microorganisms, enzymes and nutrients stimulates biological activity and reduce the sludge layer. It is easily applied to problem build-up areas to eliminate short-circulating.
It is the ideal biological alternative for you to reduce costs, desludging frequency, increase hydraulic time, and your overall pond performance.
