Types of pages and when to use them
Use this page type to showcase content about a specific application. Application pages sit "under" Category pages. It should usually include a product table with a family of products for that specific application.
Use this page type to display insights, articles, press releases, link to downloadable files etc. Articles are stand-alone pages and will not display in the top Engage menu.
Use this page type to display content that's part of a campaign push - for a specific product, event, application or news. This page is also a "stand-alone" one, that does not under the top menu.
You can think of these as "landing pages".
Campaign pages are usually the longest and include many links to other content as well as call-to-actions. They are helpful to measure traffic and interest in your specific campaign.
Use this page type to display content that showcases information about a category of business. Category pages sit directly under the "Industry" page.
For example - "Softeners" is a category that sits under Household Care.
Use this page type to create a finder = a search page. This can be used to display a collection of products or insights pertaining to a specific industry/category/application.
Use these page types to display content pertaining to a single product. The format of these pages are pre-defined to a certain extent so make sure that your content is suitable for it.
How to edit current pages
How to edit current pages
Click on the dropdown menu under "Content", in the top left-hand corner. All the current existing pages will be displayed in chronological order (the last to be edited appears first).
For each page, you will see: title, language, which marketing portfolio it's attached to, when it was last edited, who created it, its status published or unpublished, when it was last edited.
To edit the content on a specific page, find it using the finder and then click on "edit" on the left-hand side under "Operations". This is also where you can choose to delete a particular page.
How to create a new page from scratch
How to create a new page from scratch
Whilst is it possible to create a page from scratch, we actually recommend choosing an existing page and "cloning" it. This way, you can work with the existing page as a base structure and simply edit it according to your content.
However, if you do wish to create a page from scratch, this video shows you how to do so.
When making a page from scratch, make sure to have all the required content ready. You can get a list of the content required here.
How to clone a page
How to clone a page
The "bulk clone" page is a super feature to make the page building process easier.
Cloning a page means that an exact copy of an existing page will be created, with the same formatting and settings. From there, you can edit your "cloned" page by adding, deleting or modifying certain blocks in order to display your new content.
How to delete a page
How to delete a page
Please note that when you delete a page, there is no way to retrieve it - all work is lost.
With this in mind, do NOT delete a page if:
- You are not the author of the page
- You do not have the authorisation to delete the page
- You are not sure about which page to delete
